Since that first dinner back in 2010, our goal has been to connect restaurants and chefs with local, family farmers. Chefs For Farmers is about building a community connection: Collaborating with local farmers creates a sense of community and strengthens the bond between chefs and their local food producers. This connection can lead to partnerships, collaborations, and even unique menu offerings that highlight the local food culture.
HOUSTON
URBAN HARVEST:
For the inaugural year of CFF Houston, we will also be partnering with Urban Harvest, which creates thriving communities and increase access to fresh and local food in the Houston area. Their goal is to connect and support long-lasting gardens that will provide for their communities for years to come.
DALLAS
The Seed Project Foundation
For our upcoming Dallas 2023 event, Chefs For Farmers will be partnering with The Seed Project Foundation to support their efforts with McKinney Roots, their food donation garden that supplies fresh produce to the food insecure. 100% of proceeds from our 2023 farm tour and $25 of each Main Event general admission ticket sold will be going directly to support their efforts to grow and distribute fresh produce to local nonprofits, churches, and schools, alleviating hunger with healthful, nutrient-dense food.
