A California native, Chef Steve was classically trained in Europe. Over the last 4 decades he has worked on all six inhabited with some of titans of the culinary world including David Chang at momofuku and Eric Ripert at Le Bernardin. Locally in Houston, he was the chef owner of The Burger Guys and Executive Chef for The Tasting Room and BRC. He currently owns Craft Creamery with his wife Kim Kaase. He has many local awards for Best of in the Houston TX and Sunnyvale CA areas and was a finalist for the 2020 Price Tower Art Center Frank Lloyd Wright chef artist in residence. Most recently, he won a Champion Award at Rodeo Uncorked Best Bites for his Wagyu Brisket Ice Cream.
