Shuai Wang got his cooking chops in the kitchens of NYC. Now based in Charleston, he brings local sustainable “untraditional Japanese” cuisine to the South through his critically acclaimed food truck Short Grain. Recent accolades include James Beard Foundation Rising Star Chef of the Year for 2017, Eater Awards Charleston Chef of the Year 2016, and Zagat 30 Under 30.
Corrie Wang is passionate about libraries, road trips, and eating all the food, everywhere. Before moving to the South, she lived in Brooklyn, where one of her last paying gigs was managing a three story nightclub on the Lower East Side. She and her husband Shuai currently live in Charleston, SC with their pup, Moose. Corrie’s first novel “The Takedown” debuted this year, to critical praise.
