Chef Dan Landsberg leads the culinary direction at Ellie’s Restaurant and Hall Arts Hotel blending a health focused Napa Valley cuisine influence with the fabric of Texas cuisine. Chef Landsberg draws on the seasonal produce or Texas, California and artisan producers throughout the region blending sophistication with a playful spirit.
Dan has enjoyed a 34 year career beginning in the dish station as a high schooler in his hometown of Sacramento California. Dan found his way to Dallas Texas after graduating from The California Culinary Academy with honors in San Francisco as a sous chef with Fog City Diner. Landsberg fell in love with the culinary scene in Dallas and has made this his home the pst 25 years working along side many talented chefs and leading such kitchens as 1717 at the Dallas Museum of Art, Bistral Restaurant, Toscana, Stephen Pyles, Tillman’s Roadhouse and most recently before joining Ellie’s Restaurant and Hall Arts, Hotel Zaza.
Chef Landsberg is the Chef Chair for the Dallas Zoo to Do fundraising event and enjoys a healthy calendar of philanthropic efforts joining his fellow chefs at events such as Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden Food and Wine Event, Cotes Du Couer, Dining out in Dallas, March of Dimes, Symphony of Chefs, and Chef’s For Farmers.
